The upcoming club Dinner-Dance and AGM means that it’s trophy-season at K&E!
Here is a list of the trophies that are awarded to members…
Normally awarded at the club’s annual Dinner Dance :
Crawley Cup
Presented for the largest crustacean
The Lifesaving Trophy (if awarded)
Awarded to someone who has been involved in a life saving situation
Novice of the Year
Awarded to the trainee who has excelled the most
Lady Diver of the Year
Given to the lady diver who has shone the most during the year
The Marion Trophy
Presented to the person who has done the most for the club
The Wooden Spoon
Presented for the biggest faux pas of the year
Normally awarded at the club’s Annual General Meeting:
The Chairman’s Trophy
Presented to the person in the club who has assisted the Chairman most during the year
Most time underwater
Presented by the Diving Officer to the person who has logged the most minutes underwater on club dives
Best UK photograph
Presented for best photo taken in UK waters on a club dive trip – voted by members
Best wreck photograph
Presented for best photograph of underwater wreckage – voted by members
Best underwater wildlife photograph
Presented for best photograph of underwater life – voted by members
Best social photograph
Presented for best photograph taken at a club social event or trip that includes a club member – voted by members
Best Overall Photograph
Presented for best overall picture – voted by our guest judge
Jeff Betts Trophy
Presented for the best find in the past year (evidenced in declaration to the Receiver of Wreck)
Chairman’s Artefact Trophy
Presented for the best presented find in the past year (evidenced in declaration to the Receiver of Wreck)
