The work days planned for this coming weekend, 6th – 7th March, have been cancelled. A further notice will be issued when we can re-arrange the dates.

The next Committee Meeting will take place on Thursday 4th March at 20:30. If a member has any item they wish to be raised, please advise Jonathan Markwell (Branch Secretary) by COB next Tuesday, 2nd March.

‘Decompression Myths’ at Guildford BSAC
Just a reminder that Guildford BSAC are hosting a talk this Friday; ‘Decompression Myths, How Not To Get Bent’.
All members are welcome to go along and listen to Mark Powell, technical diving expert and instructor speak about his new book, ‘Deco for Divers’ and some of the latest techniques and theories for managing diving decompression.

Compressor Update
You may be aware that there has been ongoing work to the bank cylinders and other compressor elements recently. This is required as part of a routine inspection and testing regime of the equipment (similar to your diving cylinders). Our insurers require their own independent inspection of our facilities. Medas Holiday
I am looking at running a weeks holiday diving the Midas Islands again next year, starting on the 7th August 2010.
The cost will be approximatly £950:00, which includes 5 days diving, full board accomodation, flights and transfers. Non Divers will be about £300 less and children under 5 get a reduced price as well.

Swimming pool closes for two weeks
Just a note to let you know that New Malden pool will be closed from 1st through to the 13th December.
This means that there will be no access to pool training or swimming on Thursday the 3rd and 10th.
