Nitrox workshops and Crossover lessons

There are two Nitrox workshops and theory lessons scheduled for new members that need cross-over training and have their existing non-BSAC qualification recognised.

For Ocean Diver and Sports Diver cross-overs without a Nitrox qualification

Congratulations to Dorothea Klinge

Dorothea has achieved her Sports Diver grade – well done!

Sports grade recognises a diver who is competent to dive with another diver, within conditions already encountered by the least experienced diver, under the supervision of a Dive Marshal. It also recognises a diver competent to provide a full rescue and CPR.

Ocean Diver Nitrox Workshop – Date change

To accommodate holidays, the Ocean Diver Nitrox Workshop has been moved to the 22nd July.

Congratulations to Barry Duplock

Barry has recently received his BSAC qualification to officially recognise that he is now an Ocean Diver.

Barry has already been on a few RIB trips, and has contributed to the club on workdays. I am sure he will enjoy this seasons diving and build on his experience.

Just a note to mention that this weeks Ocean Diver theory lesson (May 27th) is appropriate for new members who are looking to “cross-over” thier existing non-BSAC qualifications to the equivalent BSAC grade.

This Thursday sees the last of the current Sports Diver lectures: ST5 – Your instructor will be Rachel Sharp (in the classroom)

For Ocean Diver students, your instructor for OT6 is Sarah Hamlyn.

If you need either of these lectures, please be ready from around 9pm to attend.

Diver Cox’s for 2010?
