Membership renewals for 2010
Renewals are due on 1st April for most members and I have received all the paperwork from BSAC HQ and can begin to process these from this Thursday.
Please look at the membership fee chart to find your membership fees (download below):
Standard members should look at 1. Standard BSAC Membership, to match up your BSAC diving grade or Instructor Grade (whichever is the lowest amount) with the branch fee (£120 for most members).
If you are an abated member (you have joined with another member and pay a reduced rate) look at the rates in the second column, 2. Abated BSAC Membership, to find the amount that you will pay.
If anyone has any queries about how much they need to pay please drop me an email.
NOTE: If I do not have receipt of your completed form and payment and you go diving from 1st April onwards you will not be covered by BSAC’s third party insurance.
Student Membership is applicable for those in full time education who are over 18 years old. To qualify for Student Membership you need to provide a proof that you are in full-time education, in most cases two photocopies of your Student Card will suffice (one to send to BSAC and one to keep on file). However if you are over 23, photocopies providing details of the course and college/university are required.
Junior Membership is available to members who are aged 16 or 17 years old at the time of renewal.
I need a completed medical form from everyone who intends to dive with the branch this year. You can either fill in a self-cert form yourself which I will keep on file or you can provide me with a photocopy of form signed by a medical referee (see below).
Dive Medicals for those going to Medas or similar
John Parrish will be available on Thursday 18th March from 20.30 onwards to complete dive medicals for those diving in places where you can’t dive on a self-certified medical certificate, such as Spain. The cost is £10 as usual payable directly to John Parrish.
Medical certificates signed off by a diving referee
John’s session is not suitable for anyone who can’t complete a self-cert form and therefore need a full medical and sign-off from a diving medical referee. John can provide this service but you will need to contact him directly to arrange an appointment (email@example.com). John charges a reduced fee for K&E members.
POSTING OUT FORMS
If anyone wants me to send them their renewal form and medical form because they won’t be able to get to the club then please let me know.
If you do not intend to renew for any reason it would be helpful if you could let me know that.
Many Thanks, Sarah
