Thanks to the few hardy members who turned up on Saturday to help with putting the roof on the BBQ area and clearing out the second classroom so that it can be again used for its proper role.
Led by Chris and Marc, with Alan and myself lifting, shifting and doing as we were told the BBQ area is now almost completely covered so you will be able to shelter from the blistering heat of this glorious summer. Actually what it does mean is that we can now have functions outside and not get soaked. With a few more people we would have got the whole roof finished.
Jonathan and Peter worked very hard clearing out the rubbish from the classroom and Dave assisted between working on the compressor. It is now back to looking like a classroom and not a junk store. Jonathan made several trips to the local tip as well to get rid of all the rubbish and saving the cost of a skip.
I must not forget Shirley and Nikki without whom we would not have survived and who kept us going with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and bacon rolls. Good to see Len as well who turned up with fresh stocks for the bar after his regular shopping trip.
Once again thanks to those that helped and hope to be able to say that to some more club members next time.
