A break in the weather saw the opportunistic making the most of it on Sunday. Leanne, Tom, Gren and Dave headed to Newhaven just in time before the winds picked up. The Lancer II – fast becoming a club favourite, offered up lots of fish life, many lobsters, some interesting new additions to the wreck that someone seems to have dumped on the site and some maritime heritage, likely to make its way to the best finds table for Thursday. The water temperature was tropical (if only compared to the wind chill on the surface. The vis remained reasonable but at 3 or 4 metres, it was not quite what other divers had been getting recently.
By the time we got back in, the wind had picked up and a swift pint in the pub by an open fire was a welcome stop on the way home.
